Billing source

Plan or credits: choose what DCode draws its usage from.

DCode can draw its usage from two places, and you choose which: your subscription plan (a raven subscription or the DCode Coding Plan) or prepaid API credits. The choice lives in DCode's settings under billing source.

#Plan mode (default)

With a plan active, DCode usage draws against that plan's allowance:

  • DCode Coding Plan holders: DCode draws the Coding Plan first. It is the largest allowance we sell, with per-model windows plus a combined cap across both models.
  • raven subscription without the Coding Plan: DCode draws your raven allowance at a 0.3 weighting, because coding work is cache-heavy. Every 1,000 tokens DCode uses deducts 300 from your raven allowance.

#Credits mode

Switch the billing source to credits and DCode bills prepaid API credits instead, at the per-token API prices, through a key that DCode provisions on your account automatically. This is useful when a machine outlives its plan allowance and you want to keep working at pay-as-you-go rates without upgrading, or when you want coding usage strictly separated from your plan allowance.

In credits mode the per-request cost appears in your dashboard credits history, exactly like direct API calls.

#Checking what you are on

  • DCode's settings show the active billing source and the current plan.
  • Your dashboard shows usage as allowance progress bars per model, for both products.
  • When a window runs out, DCode tells you and offers the choice: wait for the automatic reset, top up credits, or upgrade the plan.
