Shared Chats

Bring colleagues into a conversation, with view or collaborate rights, under your control.

Shared chats let you bring other people into a conversation: share a chat so a colleague can read along, or let them contribute. Sharing is per chat, revocable, and controlled by you.

#Sharing a chat

  1. Open the chat you want to share.
  2. Choose share and pick the permission: view (read only) or collaborate (they can send messages).
  3. Send the invite. The recipient sees it in their sidebar under Shared Chats and accepts when ready.

You can change permissions or remove someone at any time. When you leave or revoke, the chat simply disappears from their sidebar; nothing is copied out of your account.

#What collaborators see

  • The full conversation so far, plus everything sent after they join.
  • Who sent what: messages are attributed, so the thread reads like a transcript.
  • A banner in the chat marking it as a collaboration.

#Whose usage it counts

Tokens a collaborator sends are metered against their allowance, not yours. You share the conversation, not your quota.
