Install

DCode on Windows and macOS, or the CLI from npm. Updates install themselves.

DCode ships as a desktop app for Windows and macOS, plus a CLI for the terminal. Updates install themselves from our own update service, so an install today keeps improving on its own.

#Windows

Download for Windows x64 (about 152 MB) or Windows ARM64 (about 144 MB). Windows 10 or later. Run the installer; the updater handles everything after that.

#macOS

Download for macOS (Apple silicon) (about 178 MB). macOS 13 or later. The disk image is Developer ID signed and notarized, so Gatekeeper opens it without warnings.

#The CLI

The same agent, driven from any shell, editor, or script. It shares the account, the models, and the usage allowance with the desktop app:

shell
npm install -g @dipoleml/dcode-cli

dcode login

dcode "refactor the auth module and run the tests"

dcode login opens the hosted sign-in in your browser and connects the CLI to your account. After that, give it a task in plain language.

#First run

  1. Open DCode and sign in with Google or Apple (see Sign in).
  2. Pick a model: Raven Flash for pace, Raven Max for the deep work (see Model settings).
  3. Point it at a repository and give it a task. It reads, plans, edits, and runs; you approve the writes.

Billing: your raven subscription works in DCode out of the box, and the DCode Coding Plan adds a much larger allowance for heavy coding. See Billing source.
