Computer Use
For tasks that leave the terminal: DCode sees the screen and drives real apps, under your approval.
Some tasks leave the terminal. Computer use lets DCode see your screen and drive real applications on Windows: clicking, typing, and reading what is actually rendered, with your approval on every step.
#What it is for
- Testing a UI change by actually using the app, not just reading its code.
- Working in tools with no API or CLI: internal dashboards, desktop software, legacy systems.
- Repetitive GUI work you would rather describe once than click through forever.
#Enabling it
Computer use ships with DCode on Windows. Open settings, find the computer use section, and enable it. The first task that needs the screen will ask for permission before capturing anything.
#How it stays safe
- You approve the writes. Like every DCode action, screen actions run under your approval; the agent proposes, you confirm.
- The screen is read per task. Captures serve the current task and are not stored by the service. We never log the content of what the agent sees or does.
- Sensitive work stays yours. Password fields, banking sessions, and anything you would not share with a colleague are better handled by hand.
